Announced in March 2013, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is one huge step closer to
creating a permanent home for its Staffordshire Hoard display after the
Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) announced it has awarded the venue £704,500
towards the creation of a Staffordshire Hoard Gallery. Click on link here.
This great news comes on the back of a further 81 items of Staffordshire Hoard treasure being discovered in November 2012 in
the same farmer’s field in Hammerwich in Lichfield District as the original find.
